JVL Introduction
There is a genocide going on in Gaza; there are pogroms in the West Bank but dare to say Israel is to blame and you can be accused of antisemitism and this can be taken seriously even when those claiming the antisemitism are well known and uncritical advocates of Israel. This time it is the comedian, Reginald D Hunter who now bears a label that is hard to shift and can have long term consequences. Meanwhile Israel is destroying Gaza’s buildings, farmland, infrastructure and is killing, maiming and displacing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians; it has wrecked hospitals, schools, limited aid so that starvation stalks along with diseases including polio; Israel has incarcerated thousand of Palestinians, large numbers under “Administrative Detention” (ie without charge) and while kept hostage are frequently tortured. But we are somehow supposed to think that what we cannot allow is the audacity to say that Israel is an abuser.

When will we stop falling for fabricated antisemitism scandals?
Reginald D Hunter is the latest target of pro-Israel provocateurs feigning victimhood. Time to bring down the curtain on this pantomime…

Telling a Black man, he is not allowed to talkback to white colonials is a return to the racism of the plantation – that is if it ever went away?
And no one points out what Reginald D Hunter as Black man, might be risking in apartheid Israel even if he were Jewish. Yet he is supposed to defer to its lobby? In 2013 Haaretz and the Times of Israel later to be followed by Forbes magazine et al internationally, pointed out that Black Jews in Israel – Ethiopian-Israelis – had been subjected to the eugenics of forced contraceptive injections.
Israels hospitals and Red Cross have a history of dumping blood donations by Black Jews as supposedly unclean.
Towns such as Ashkelon and Kiryat Malachi have a history of whites only housing practices – excluding Black Jews.
Racism is so endemic in Israel that in 2016 it was reported that hundreds of Black Jews were refusing their military reservist duties.
It should also be mentioned that it is possible that if Reginald D Hunter was resident in Tel Aviv, the children in his family might possibly fall victim to the city’s well documented racially segregated kindergartens.

As Blumental made the accusation of him being an ‘antisemite’ in front of a large number of witnesses and accused the people in the room of being ‘Hamas apologists’ any one of the people present could sue her for defamation if they feel their reputation has been damaged.
If you are inclined to think this is a bit far fetched remember the ‘antisemitic Octopus’, which was in fact a University Challenge team mascot, and the outcome of that case. According to the BBC website on March 6:
“A University Challenge student has accepted “substantial damages” from a Tory peer who falsely accused her of being antisemitic.
Baroness Jacqueline Foster made the claims after Melika Gorgianeh appeared on the programme in November.
She has apologised to Ms Gorgineh on X, external formerly Twitter, formerly Twitter, saying the allegations were “completely false”.
Hmmm. Is this the same Rivkah Brown that accused J.K.Rowling of being a Holocaust denier? [JVL note – See https://forward.com/culture/603271/jk-rowling-holocaust-streisand-effect/%5D Cheap hysterical outburst rather similar to the couple she is commenting on in this article. She forgives this black comedian for saying “fucking Jews” and seems fine with a brief apology on his part. Yet JK Rowling simply said that transgendered people were not especially singled out over other so called “sexual deviants” by the Nazis. Is this where woke politics gets you? I am sorry but I smell hypocrisy in large doses…Novara media is unshakeable in its support for those who deny the reality of biological sex. I hope I am not the only supporter of Jewish Voice for Labour who believes in telling the truth. By the way, in case there is any misunderstanding, I do not condemn either this comedian or JK Rowling for their comments. In either case, the accusation of anti semitism or Holocaust denial is absurd and deliberately missing the central point.

Two Israelis were offended when a comedian in Edinburgh
made disparaging remarks about their country, and the hurt
was reported widely in the British media, while a Classical
pianist in Australia has been removed from the programme
of concerts, scheduled by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
after expressing his opposition to the killing of journalists
in Palestine, because his comments reportedly triggered
distress in members of the audience. Meanwhile,
in Palestine itself,
new born twins were murdered by Israel while their father
was registering their existence. He returned with a certificate
of their births to find them already obliterated. This was not
reported to same extent as the upset caused by the Edinburgh
comedian, but it was on a par with the coverage given to the
Classical pianist. The MSO has apologised, unreservedly.
They had no forewarning of the comments.
Hunter subsequently got pulled from a Manchester comedy festival, too.

These incidents of which there are many going back years make me so angry. It has to stop, starting with ‘victims’ not apologising. Every apology gives credence for all the false claims. We have to stand up to the truth and speak out otherwise we are letting down all the oppressed people of the world whatever the cause. I saw a documentary today about the indigenous people of Chile, the Mapucho and the way they were treated, history repeating itself in Palestine. Enough is enough start shouting NO we will not be bullied onto silence.

And as Ms Brown points out Mark Lewis and Mandy Blumenthal are not simple tourists but have a history of pro-Israel stunts where they pretend to be the victims. In 2014 Israel bombarded Gaza for 2-months killing 2,200+ – 551 of the victims were children. There was then a seemingly coordinated public relations response of claims by the Jewish Chronicle claiming Scottish Jews were emigrating because of anti-Semitism in the UK, Maureen Lipman claiming she was similarly thinking of emigrating to New York – insensitively this was just after Eric Gardner was killed in a police stranglehold there – and Mark Lewis and Mandy Blumenthal appearing on BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire claiming they were emigrating to Israel. Despite his claims lawyer Mark Lewis has continued to pursue critics of Israel in UK courts and appear in PR stunts like the heckling of Reginald D Hunter. The other claims seem equally manipulative and also false.

Absolutely disgusting the lengths that people will go to in attempts to try to to justify the State of Israel’s actions. The fact that the State behaviour is somewhat disassociated from the Jewish faith also leaves them cold; ignorant – or brainwashed – beyond belief.
