No to deportations – standing against the Rwanda Plan

he government is trying once again to divide us with talk – and powerful policies; there are the acceptable sort of refugee, but those arriving on “small boats” have no rights at all.  It is at least 12 weeks before anyone could be flown to Rwanda and yet round ups have already started.  Here the CEO of Migrants Organise writes about how much harder it is for asylum seekers now than when she arrived from former Yugoslavia in 1993. Actions are still possible and she notes some recent audacious ones.   Last week people in Peckham prevented  asylum seekers being removed; “Alert” groups throughout Britain are growing ready to leap into action at any sign of round up.

We must stand and act in solidarity with asylum seekers who are seeking persecution and/or war.
