HonestReporting Canada (HRC) is the kind of attack dog we are familiar with in Britain, from the activates of the self-styled Campaign Against Antisemitism or UK Lawyers for Israel and others.
Find any criticism of Israel you don’t like, repackage it as hidden or overt antisemitism, attack its purveyors with innuendo, and harass public bodies like broadcasters, educational institutions or hospitals to censor at your command.
We have to defend public broadcasting, affirm the authors of this article on the Candadian Broadcasting Corporation, while also demanding radical reform of them, making sure they live up to the high standards of journalistic integrity they claim to abide by.
They must not – as they currently do – capitulate to cheap hasbara.
