A media junket to Israel

This is an extraordinary story from Alexander Willis, a journalist based in Alabama who was unexpectedly offered a five-day freebie in Israel courtesy of the American Middle East Press Association AMEPA.
Given the Israeli ban on foreign journalists reporting from Gaza on the ground, this is about as close as he could hope to get to “the truth” that AMEPA promised about the ongoing war. So he went.
He discovered that AMEPA’s truth amounted to “a version of pure Israeli propaganda far more extreme than anything I could have expected.”
This editor can’t help wondering what the other 13 journalists on the tour made of it.

Are these Zionist killers of Palestinians either so socialised and indoctrinated that they cannot see, or perfectly manicured actors who are lying to protect their own skin? I can’t work it out. Either way, neither the situation of occupiers nor the occupied Palestinians will ever be the same, as they were pre-October 7th 2023. The “extremism” of the Zionist media is the “norm” on Israeli TV and media channels. They have defined themselves by the lies they tell. Unbelievable. The consequences can be summarised every morning, when I wake up and switch on Al-Jazeera to see how many more innocent civilians they have murdered whilst I slept.
The zionists of today are in my opinion even more monstrous than the nazis were in the 1930s right through to the end of WW2. The denazisation of the land was not as it should have been. A lot of the previously leading nazis ended up in elevated positions.
When as teenagers we tried to work our way through that mess, to learn from it that it must never happen again, we were either met with denial, or told if you don’t like it why don’t you live overthere, meaning the GDR. One way of learning about history was reading through history books thanks to our cousins in the GDR after they had completed their history lessons on the subject. But the main support we were given was by people who had survived imprisonment in a concentration camp. And they were mainly on the left.
What I also learned from history is that if you got entangled with the US, you sell out. They will not help unless it is in their interest. Ukraine is a good example for that as was BRD after the war (Marshall Plan). If that was raised out came the statements not to attack the US as they are our ‘friends’, or that there israel could not be criticized because of what the nazis done. The nazis did that to anyone who was not buying into their politics of extermination, hatred and perceived entitlement to rule the world as they saw fit. I can’t fathom out why people are so willing to give in to being guilt-tripped, and that there israel playing the eternal victim and at the same time manilulating others to do their bidding.
I was brought up to think before acting, with the usual statement that actions have consequences, and if you do wrong you get to learn your lessons, so you learn from your mistakes. Basically you face the music.
I really need the saying ‘Never again’ to mean ‘Never again.
