JVL Introduction

The idea of an Ethnonationalist International might seem like an oxymoron, but as the world’s financial élites struggle desperately to find an ideology with which to divert a restive humankind so as to protect their hegemony, a motley league of authoritarian ethnonationalist régimes is expanding across the world.

  • As someone who was born and brought up in India, I hang my head in shame at what has become of the country of my birth. There was a time when India truly had a moral foreign policy. We were in the forefront in supporting the anti-apartheid movement, against the criminal war conducted by the Americans in Vietnam, in support of Castro’s revolution and all the countries fighting for freedom from their colonial masters. It’s refusal to support the partition of Palestine was surely it’s crowning glory.

  • A very informative article. Internationalists need to educate themselves about what is happening in India and Kashmir. We need more debate with organisations representing Muslims and Hindus in the UK. Ethno nationalism and Islamaphobia represent the politics of despair and do nothing to liberate those afflicted by these poisonous ideologies peddled by right wing demagogues.
