Hungry in Gaza? Prepare to cross battlefields

Israel is deliberately using starvation as a weapon of war. Israel’s control of access means control over Palestinians’ survival added to which they are being forced to risk injury and even death trying to get a share of the extremely limited amount of food available. There is an alternative that addresses Israel’s security concerns but which Israel is ignoring. It cannot completely destroy Hamas and so is using resource denial (and control) as a weapon of war.

The Gaza Starvation Experiment
Israel’s new U.S.-backed aid scheme in Gaza integrates food into military strategy. Since the war began, Israel has restricted aid, easing up when famine alerts appeared, tightening as attention faded. Now, amid a bloody rollout, the new mechanism risks entrenching starvation rather than ending it.

The cold facts are chilling. How can our governments allow this policy of Israel’s to continue?
The author of this needs to catch up. Convoys of aid from UN and other agencies were systematically looted by criminal gangs armed by Israel and operating with Israeli support. Unable to defeat the resistance and unable to turn the population against Hamas, they have resorted to using drug barons and ISIS oriented thugs to do thwir work, supported by US nercenaries at the aid points.
This kind of academic exploration of the horrendous plight of the Gazans and all Palestinians is all very worthy but plays into the same game, follows the same rules as laid down and put into play by Israel. The world has witnessed enough for themselves to know Israel has no desire for a ceasefire, making it pointless to continue the pretence that negotiation has any chance of success. This article offers no ideas or means of forcing Israel to halt the calculated end of the Palestinians and the possibility of a state of Palestine. Even BDS, which would still have a big effect has been avoided by countries for their own selfish or cowardly reasons but given Israel’s monstrous, openly declared intentions of ‘clearing’ all Palestinians from their homeland by whatever means, where is the NATO intervention force, or ‘coalition of the willing’ prepared to intervene as when other lesser mass slaughter atrocities are being carried out? Not even on the cards! Palestine has been abandoned by virtually all countries, to their eternal shame.
I fear that the media attention on Israel’s war on Iran will mean attention lost on the plight of what is happening to Palestinians in Gaza + West Bank + prisons.
