Israel’s Eid gift: Terror bombing in Gaza

Hamas has accepted the ceasefire but nothing will be enough for Netanyahu and those on the even further right to whom he is beholden.  They seem to  have no interest in stopping the war and cling to the illusion that it is possible to eliminate Hamas. Instead of peace, he ramps up the bombing and displacement of the beleaguered Palestinians.  The article below provides valuable information of the destruction being meted out including the murder of a team of 8 paramedics and 6 civil defence workers as well as the more about the ceasefire agreement.

We also have news from people trying to live in Gaza; this from a multiply displaced man with his family in Khan Yunis, being told to move -again – presumably to Al Mawasi:  “No happy Eid here. On the first day of Eid, the occupation is killing children in cold blood. There is no room for joy in Gaza. We are drowning in blood, killing, displacement, famine, homelessness, genocide, and everything difficult. The situation here is getting worse and more difficult. Now the occupation is asking us to leave. We don’t know where to go, and there are no means of transportation after the diesel and gasoline shortage. The situation is catastrophic, dangerous, and extremely terrifying. It cannot be described”

And direct from the so called safe zone of Al Mawasi people are sending more desperate messages than in all the past 18 months, for example, a bakery was hit this morning  “Right now, the situation is very dangerous. …planes are hovering all the time, very close to the ground. My son was in the street and felt the plane was so close that it might hit him. We are terrified and exhausted from it all, I still have a chest injury from the beginning of the war, but I keep going. It’s all too much pressure. ” And then:  “Please pray for our safety, and send whatever help you can. The need is so great right now, and increasing all the time. We need to think of ways to cook food for the displaced people, and how to help these masses coming now. We want to do some activities for Eid in the area, but I am afraid as it might not now be safe for the children to be in the streets.”
