Acts of war that show utter disregard for human life

‘Not one grain’ will enter Gaza says Israeli minister, as UN officials issue appeal”
On 7 April, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced at a local press conference that “not even a [single] grain of wheat will enter the [occupied Gaza] Strip”. His statement contradicts reports suggesting that Israeli occupation forces would permit the entry of aid into Gaza.
In a joint statement by the heads of top UN agencies on 7 April, the officials asserted “we are witnessing acts of war in Gaza that show an utter disregard for human life”. The statement added that with “the tightened Israeli blockade on Gaza now in its second month, we appeal to world leaders to act – firmly, urgently and decisively – to ensure the basic principles of international humanitarian law are upheld.
