Steve Reed Leads Labour’s Attack on Zack Polanski and the Green Party

JVL Introduction

In his Double Down News broadcast ‘Zack Polanski & The Weaponisation of Antisemitism: Same Tactics, Different Target,’ Paul Holden analyses Steve Reed’s role in attacking the surging Green Party as it takes votes from the Labour Party and threatens the right-wing establishment.  Steve Reed is a central figure in the Peter Mandelson and Morgan McSweeney inspired devious and manipulative group, Labour Together, which set out to destabilise Labour by pushing out the Left and then installed a pliant figure from the Right. It used unfounded antisemtism allegations as a key weapon. However, Holden argues that repeating its previous mantras is impeded by the detailed, publicly available, knowledge of its shady political operations. This is largely due to the uncovering and drawing together of its activities by himself, in his book: ‘Fraud: Keir Starmer, Morgan McSweeney and the Crisis of British Democracy’.

In this broadcast, Holden documents the sources of illegally undisclosed finance, from a hedge fund manager and an Israel lobbyist, while Reed was one of Labour Together’s directors. He tells of Reed’s pressure on the Labour Administration to act on a dodgy dossier of antisemitism complaints, which included one against JVL Executive Committee member, Jonathan Rosenhead, who produced ‘a devastating response’. Most damningly Reed was connected to the illegal hacking of the critical media site, Inside Croydon’s computers. This data was used by the Labour Party to suspend councillors blowing the whistle on financial incompetence in Croydon’s council. There are meant to be checks on the probity of MPs, in the form of the Ethics and Integrity Commission and Parliamentary Commission on Standards. Paul Holden asks of Reed:

“Is this a man who should even be in government, let alone wheeled out as the attack dog of Starmer’s failing, unpopular, scandal-prone government?”

  • While most of the Labour spokespeople are like robots , doesn’t Reed add a certain impression of ruthless violence on screen? He too repeats pre-rehearsed sentences like all the Starmtroopers, but there’s something in his expression and bearing that’s more of a Robocop! Apologies if this response to him counts as defamation, no need to publish it if so. Never met the guy, probably lovely to cuddly kittens etc..

  • This is the only information that the Daily Mail gave when Reed wrote an anti-Green Party article on 2 May 2026:

“Steve Reed is Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.”

The Green Party needs a 17.5% swing to defeat Reed next time. Good luck to them, I say.

  • The Daily Mail could have mentioned that Steve Reed, with his chum Peter Mandelson and others, formed Labour Together, the secretive group very reluctant to reveal donations and donors, which formed to destroy Corbyn and instal KS. After early success look how well that has now turned out. Another point of interest is that according to Paul Holden in his book “The Fraud”: Between June 2017 and September 2020, Labour Together received £862,492 in cash and non-cash donations. Taylor donated £585,992 in cash and non-cash donations; Chinn donated £175,500 in cash. The vast bulk of these donations – £849,429 – was made between June 21, 2017, and March 18, 2020: two weeks before the vote in which Starmer was elected as Labour Party leader.” £739,429 of the cash and non-cash donations it received between June 2017 and September 2020 wasn’t declared to the Electoral Commission and was subsequently fined £14,250.
The ditching of KS will not make much of a difference as he has doubled the number of MPs needed to back a contender to challenge the leader to 81, making it near impossible for another left-winger to get onto any ballot paper. As John McDonnell said at an online meeting (After the May elections- what next?) yesterday 11May, Labour party democracy has been incrementally destroyed by KS (I paraphrase).
