A devastating new report was published on 12th April 2026 adding to the mounting evidence of torture meted out to incarcerated Palestinians by Israeli guards and soldiers and yet, there are still no sanctions on Israel. This report focuses mainly on sexual torture and can be added to Euro Med Human Rights Monitor’s earlier reports and also those of Bt’Selem and Francesca Albanese. (see linked articles below)
“The report highlights that the Israeli torture system deliberately widens the circle of harm through a strategy of “psychological warfare” that exploits the high value placed on “dignity” and “privacy” in Palestinian collective consciousness, turning them from protective norms into instruments of coercion. Instead of society functioning as a protective space, victims are led to believe that disclosing sexual abuse would constitute a second violation of their privacy and their family’s reputation. This fosters a cycle of emotional isolation that discourages reporting or seeking assistance for fear of further compromising their personal and familial dignity, already eroded by the torture.”
Even the report summary below is hard to read, almost unbearable to imagine going through and it must be more widely known. The physical and psychological impact will last for generations. It must be stopped and those guilty of ordering, turning a blind eye and carrying out the torture must be brought to justice.

“Another genocide behind walls”: New report documents testimonies of rape and sexual violence in Israeli prisons
Palestinian Territory – Sexual violence against Palestinians in Israeli prisons and detention centres constitutes a de facto state policy, used as a tool of subjugation and destruction, with a sharp escalation and the removal of prior restraints since 7 October 2023, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a report.

Israel’s sense of its own importance, and its self-righteous privilege, has led to a racism against Palestinians no less vile than the Nazi’s racism towards the jews. Israel’s impunity and protection against being called out as a vile racist state is making us in Britain complicit. WHY is it not being called out by the international Monitors? Also, if I was the parent of a young Israeli male soldier I would be appalled at my son being exposed to this form of violence towards another human being, and appalled at the long-term corrupting effect on my son. And there will be some Israeli soldiers who are appalled but who have to pretend to go along with it. How are they experiencing this? How do they escape from the vile and corrupting effect on their own minds? These are crimes against humanity.
