What is a Palestinian life worth?
JVL Introduction
Eyal Weizman, founder of Forensic Architecture, explains how the development towns, settlements, kibbutzim and moshavim of the Gaza envelope were built on Palestinian villages and their lands deliberately, to reinforce Israel’s frontier “a central part of the system of enclosure imposed on Gaza”.
Hamas broke brutally through all that on 7th October.
Whatever else happens, believes Weizman, there will have to be negotiations over the exchange of prisoners, a feature of the conflict over many decades. In these deals, the Palestinians have often been able to invert “the deep structural colonial asymmetry” in which the Palestinian dead far outnumber that of the Israelis.
We await the outcome on this occasion.

I have never read such an explicit history of the Zionist takeover of Palestine This explains the situation so clearly that my sharing on Facebbook was essential and yet I have no doubt that it will be quickly taken down as I know many of my post are because there is an organised scrutiny of certain members pages.
A comprehensive description of how the area was developed as a settler enterprise. Very informative and explains a great deal about this latest conflict. Thank you.
Why is no ome talking about the fact thst many survivors say it was the IOF shooting and killing israelis.
Very informative indeed. Shocking to read that Israel arrests Palestinians to increase its assets for future exchanges. If there are prisoner/ hostage exchanges (and the Israeli government doesn’t seem very inclined to do that), I wonder what will happen to those Palestinian prisoners who are released. Surely, they would be in danger of being re-arrested a bit later, or expelled or forced to leave the country.
