We have to talk about Palestine at Passover

Rabbi Brant Rosen who leads an antizionist Jewish congregation in Chicago writes regular blogs and has three posts about Pesach (Passover) in the context of the ongoing destruction of Gaza and the  ramping up of violence and displacement in the West Bank.  How can we, as Jews, celebrate our freedom from oppression while Palestinians are being oppressed – and in our name.

We need to mark the important part of our calendar with Seders focused on Freedom, Justice and Liberation as many have been doing for years.  This year there will be many more events across the world where the focus is on Palestine, where we draw the parallels with what has happened to Jewish people and the oppression, displacement, murder and maiming being done by Israel to the Palestinian people.
