US Jews blockade Congress demanding ceasefire now

The apparent rise in antisemitic attacks which has received so much news coverage needs to be questioned in the light of all those demonstrations that have shown immense popular support for the Palestinian people, and the fact of so many Jews openly opposing Israel’s murderous attack on the whole of the Gazan people under the guise of defending themselves against Hamas.
How many of these ‘antisemitic’ attacks are just that, and not an expression of repulsion at Israel’s actions? Far fewer than we are being led to believe.
How many are not due to hatred of Jews as such, but the assumption, encouraged by Israel and its backers, that all Jews support Israel? Far more than we are led to believe, showing just how stupidly counter-productive Israel’s argument is.
Also, how many Jews who oppose Israel in its seventy-year campaign against the whole of the Palestinian people are attacked for being supporters of Hamas? Far too many. Anything to make them look bad, truth notwithstanding.
This assumption concerning antisemitism is clearly an obstacle to a proper understanding of the anti-Zionist view. Supporting the Palestinians against their oppression by an over-powerful Jewish sect is very different from supporting the actions of another over-powerful sect determined to further its own interests regardless of the absolutely-forseeable consequences to the people they have been charged with protecting.
The existence of Hamas, which does not have the universal support of the Gazans any more than the Tories have the full support of the British electorate, is a symptom of the terrible disease inflicted on Palestine by the Zionists of Israel, a disease which numbers among its other symptoms poverty, sickness, deprivation, and the general humiliation of a whole people solely because they are not Jewish.
