An email to BSST, 17th October
Thank you for your communication and solidarity with us.
I fully appreciate what you are doing for Gaza and the children of Gaza.
We at FADE have exhausted all our capabilities. We have become unable to provide any service to people who have been displaced and whose homes have been destroyed. We receive calls for help from everywhere. We were able to help some, but the capabilities have become non-existent. I greatly appreciate what you have given us, and I am very proud of working and partnering with you for the sake of the children of Palestine.
Please help us and launch an urgent relief campaign. The coming days will be difficult for all of us. We know that winter has begun and unfortunately people are sleeping in the open without food and without clothes, and even medicine has become unavailable.
The most important interventions currently are the basic needs of families and their children.
Ali Al-Derawi
BSST’s Emergency Trauma Appeal.
It takes so much strength, compassion, and humanity to say no to vengeance while mourning. Noi, I also lost my brother in the 1st Intifada, but we are NOT enemies. We are brothers in pain and in our struggle to end the cycle of bloodshed. With you in solidarity! https://t.co/65bPWcgWpi

David Renton, Fuck the Fear
“For this protest, I did something I’ve never done before. I carried a placard with a picture of my grandfather on it and the words, “My Grandparents Escaped The Holocaust – Not In Our Name,” and “Viva Palestine” (in English and Arabic)…
Paulo Freire wrote in his Pedagogy of the Oppressed:
“With the establishment of a relationship of oppression, violence has already begun. Never in history has violence been initiated by the oppressed … Violence is initiated by those who oppress, who exploit, who fail to recognize others as persons – not by those who are oppressed, exploited, and unrecognized.”
In Israel the ethnic cleansing of Gaza is openly promoted, to push Palestinians that survive into the Sinai desert from where, history warns, they won't return.
The quotes from Israeli society in @jsternweiner's article (some below) are bone-chilling.

Devastating news. Israel just massacred my neighbors in Al-Saftawi street, #Gaza. Journalist Mohammed Ba'lousha & his family were all killed in a bombing at their home without a warning. His mum was my science teacher during primary school. Our families joined in thick and thin. https://t.co/ymGTVq48DW

Another heartbreaking morning in Gaza, #IOF has just killed Dr Midhat Saidam, a senior plastic and burn surgeon at Shifa Hospital in #Gaza along with 30 of his family members as they targeted their home.

Please share far and wide.
Why are the international community standing by and allowing this to happen. The Israeli government order Palestinians to move to the south and then started bombing them there and this government and opposition condone this action, I just hope they are charged with war crimes.
