Surely shock at Smotrich’s statements shows denialism

In this piece the author expresses surprise at the shock some on the Israeli “left” are expressing at Smotrich saying that the return of the (Israeli) hostages is not a priority.  The agenda has always been clear, to ethnically cleanse Palestinians and build a Greater Israel.  He outlines how any move towards a two state solution has been blocked for many years before October 7th. The divisions between Hamas and the PA are also touched on here; divisions long fostered and exploited by Israel but of no help at all to the Palestinian people. The Hamas and Islamic Jihad attack on October 7th 2023 provided another “excuse” for pursuing the long term objectives with more speed and aggression than in the decades before.

Khoury says that “the plan is clear and well-known, proceeding by the book. Anyone ignoring it, or taking part in it by remaining silent, is either in denial or harboring delusions that silence will enable the replacement of this government.”
