Israel snubs a billion Catholics

The death of Pope Francis has been the occasion for worldwide outpourings of grief and innumerable critiques of his life, flattering and otherwise.
Joseph Massad in Middle East Eye explored the late pontiff’s care for Palestinians: “A lone western voice in their defence, he is being mourned in Gaza with deep sorrow – even as some in Israel celebrate his death.”
This Ha’aretz editorial looks askance at the official Israeli reaction – a refusal to send any representative of government to join the 12 kings, 52 heads of state and 14 prime ministers attending the funeral in Rome.

I see from the Middle East Eye article linked to above that the zionist hate-mongers were out in force again shortly after it was announced Pope Francis had died.
I have little doubt that if Jesus Christ himself was back again and condemning Israel for the death and destruction and the genocide it’s commiting in Gaza, he would be attacked and vilified and smeared and demonised by Netanyahu’s hate-mongers as a self-hating antisemitic Jew, and a Hamas/terrorist supporter of course.
There are (at least) three very different explanations for the Netanyahu government’s approach, aren’t there?
The first is that this government thinks normal rules of conduct and etiquette don’t apply to them (a Trumpian sense of entitlement and deficits in thinking ability).
The second is that each of the ministers is now “steeped in blood” to dare to acknowledge (even to themselves) what the normal rules of conduct are -and how far their own behaviour falls short.
And the third is that this government is incapable of reaching agreed decisions even on relatively “easy” issues, such as whether to attend the funeral of a world leader.
This conduct is not surprising. Israel has shown itself to be positively anti-Christian. Any manifestation of the Christian religion, past or present, is being more and more, and ruthlessly, suppressed, so that any sign of it, and, for that matter, even Islam, and people following those religions is intended to be eliminated from the land that calls itself Israel, as if those people never existed.
My wife is a Catholic, but I am not so I have no axe to grind over this. It is interesting to compare the way that the late Pope was willing to criticise Israel when he thought it was necessary, with the mealy mouthed response of the Church of England higher clergy, i.e. the Bishops and Archbishops, who have acted like the three wise monkeys.
Of course after all in their eyes (the zionists) God gave them the land…well what God giveth God can also taketh away.
