Solidarity with the women – and men – protesting repression in Iran and in Palestine

As socialist internationalists, it is fundamental that struggles for freedom are indivisible; we cannot only be concerned about our own country.  Many Israelis see and oppose the repression in Iran but far fewer see what is happening to Palestinians.  As Orly Nor writes “In Iran and in Palestine, people are risking their lives to be freed from oppression, from apartheid, from extreme deprivation of their most basic freedoms at the hands of powerful, uninhibited forces. Solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle for liberation that at best ignores the Palestinian struggle and at worst actively supports crushing it is nothing more than pure mockery of the very idea of freedom.”

We stand in solidarity with those courageous people in Iran, in Palestine and throughout the world, risking their liberty and even their lives in their struggles for rights and freedoms.
