We could have headed this “Sumud in Action” for the resilience of Palestinians is remarkable even if it is at straining point as people try to survive now with Israel blocking of humanitarian aid and cutting off electricity. Nonetheless the determination to remain, to rebuild and to thrive as well as survive needs support and publicity. While Trump does not understand how people could live in a place that is in such a terrible state – nor why they would want to – Palestinians show us again and again their connection to the land.
We have reported before on the work of Architects for Gaza and are pleased that one of Executive members, Marion Roberts (mentioned in this article) and at least one other activist in JVL are involved in this movement of practical solidarity.
