March for Palestine and Lebanon on Saturday!
No one could have predicted a year ago that this month we would still be obliged to demonstrate our shock, horror and outrage at the carnage which has engulfed Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and now Lebanon, Yemen and Syria.
The Labour Government which continues to mouth platitudes about Israel’s right to defend itself must hear the voices of the millions worldwide who demand an end to Isael’s impunity and an end to supplying the weapons that facilitate its endless wars.
Join the demonstration in Central London on Saturday October 5.
The Jewish Bloc will assemble at noon at
Bloomsbury Sq Gdns, WC1A 2NS
on the corner with Bloomsbury Place
Jewish Voice for Labour will be there with members and supporters of other Jewish organisations, from 11.45. We will then join the main demonstration marching from Russell Square to Downing Street as below.

HELPFULLY
{and without fanfare
The USA has always taken a paternal interest
in the Middle East, similar to a social worker
visiting families on a rota, based in Israel (for
administrative purposes) but willing to travel
where necessary, into Gaza, Egypt, bothersome
Syria, gentle Jordan, the Lebanon, even across
to Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan (obviously), to
sort out trouble, attend to the welfare of children.
Sometimes a word suffices, but occasionally
a genocide is necessary. It’s unfortunate (and
costly) but in everyone’s interests if the dead
die quietly, anonymously, under rubble or buried
quickly, swaddled like those plastic baby dolls
children hold in the school Nativity at Christmas.
