It IS apartheid.

JVL Introduction

Israel has accused Amnesty International of antisemitism as it joins B’Tselem, Israel’s premier human-rights organisation, Yesh Din, and Human Rights Watch in firmly pinning the apartheid label onto the Israeli state.

Well, it would, wouldn’t it, is the obvious response – fresh from its “triumph” in trying to take out Emma Watson as an antisemite.

The trouble is the currency is becoming debased. Real – and growing – antisemitism, the antisemitism that kills, is meanwhile getting a free pass when it comes from those who are prepared to throw a declared admiration for Israel into their antisemitism mix.

Added two hours after posting:  You can read about Israel fulminating against the report – “FM Lapid calls document set for release on Tuesday ‘delusional,’ says it ‘echoes the lies of terrorist organizations’; pro-Israel group says it is ‘tantamount to a blood libel’” – in the Times of Israel here.

Amnesty International describes Israel as an apartheid state in new report

  • The declarations by B’Tselem, HRW, Yesh Din and now Amnesty that Israel is practicing apartheid are a major victory for the Palestinian cause, if for no other reason than that they enable supporters of the Palestinian’s struggle to cite their reports in answer to the inevitable bad-faith accusations of antisemitism. Unfortunately members of the Labour Party are still at risk of suspension/expulsion for repeating the charge of apartheid and I can’t see that changing for as long as Starmer remains leader. The struggle will continue, but none of the major political parties in the UK can be considered allies, including Caroline Lucas of the Greens, who accepts the flawed IHRA definition and recently signed a letter calling on Bristol University to fire David Miller.

  • Now is clear that Labour Party owns a big apology to Diana Neslen and all LP members who were unjustly accused of antisemitism. Instead of persecuting left-wing anti-Zionist Jews LP should investigate JLM for their support of the racist state.

  • Excellent article. (There was also a UN report about apartheid in Israel which was quickly suppressed.)

Have any British politicians been quizzed on their support for Israel?

We need someone to start door-stepping them and demand to know why they support an apartheid state. I don’t think the mainstream media will do that.
