Gershon Baskin, known for his role in facilitating past negotiations between Israel and Hamas, including the release of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in 2011, put forward a proposal to his contacts within the Palestinian group earlier this month. He said that Hamas has agreed to this, a negotiation within a three week period to end the war. Initially published on 16th Sept (updated on 17th) and on 21st September, Baskin emphasised again that: “I tell you again: Hamas agrees to the three-week deal: the end of the war, an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, an agreed release of the number and names of Palestinian prisoners, and the return of all the hostages – all in a three-week timeframe. I even have it in writing from Hamas. The paper is with Netanyahu and with the entire negotiating team. The paper is with Biden, with the Emir of Qatar and with the head of Egyptian intelligence. All of the hostages can be returned within three weeks.” (Gershon Baskin September 21, 2024)
So where is the will to end the slaughter and free Israeli and Palestinian hostages and where is the block?

Netanyahu is definitely not after freeing the hostages, but after freeing Palestine from its autochthonous population of Palestinians. So he has no interest whatsoever in negotiating with Hamas about the hostages.
I will even go as far, as to suggest, that Netanyahu – knowing intimately on forehand about the Hamas 7th October project, both by having the Hamas plan in writing, by sophisticated surveillance, spies and by having observed the Hamas resistance fighters exercising for months at a stretch before 10/7 – deliberately did have allowed Hamas to execute their prisoners-against-hostages-release-plan at 10/7.
Why would Netanyahu have decided that way : For him this would be The Golden Opportunity to cleans the autochthonous Palestinians from their legitimate homeland Palestine, in order to create the ancient and final Zionist objective : a mono-ethnic Eretz-Israel.
After all, by wiping out the entire infrastructure of Gaza and murdering tens of thousands of Palestinians – which genocidal concept appears to be repeated on the Westbank as well – he has made Gaza (and will make the WestBank) entirely inhabitable. This way, he – at a certain point – can force the surviving Palestinians to leave for Egypt and/or Jordan.
The pre 10/7 protests by “Israeli Jews” had been against the effort of Netanyahu of diminishing the power of the Supreme Court, in order to have the definition of a Jew changed in a way, that Reform-Jews would no longer be considered equal to Orthodox-Jews.
And the post 10/7 protests against Netanyahu had been – not against the wholesale genocide on Palestinians but – against the sacrifice of Jewish hostages, in preference of creating the aforementioned Eretz-Israel.
By the Way : Most Christian-Zionists in the world do – materially and morally – support that criminal Jewsupremacist endeavour for religious reasons : “The second coming of Christ”.
“Israel accept a truce”? Absolutely no chance whatsoever. How can Hamas shake hands with the murderers of its children, with the torture and rape of its prisoners, the deliberate demolition and scorched earth of the Gaza concentration camp, and the onslaught in the West Bank? The oppressed shaking hands with the oppressor, believing they will keep their side of the bargain? As Israel enters a new phase of its delusional “deterrence”, attacking Beirut and injuring and killing ordinary citizens with the electronic attacks last week: Netanyahu is heading towards the rope, and he knows it. But the genocidal fanatical “nationalists”, in and out of the Knesset, will fight to the death like a rabid dog, regardless of how many Palestinian or Israeli civilians have to die.
