Greens on a roll
JVL Introduction
It is a significant development for a major political party to call for strong action to hold Israel accountable for its genocide in Gaza, including a call for action against its genocidal enforcers, the Israeli Defence Force.
The Green Party conference has just done just that – overwhelmingly, with strong support at all levels of the Party.
Labour, you might well say, has also called for sanctions, but in the teeth of opposition from the Party hierarchy. And the IDF is nowhere mentioned. Nor is there any sign of the government listening to its own members.
We post a report of the Green party conference decision and, below it, their brief statement in response to Labour’s decision, calling out its complicity in supplying arms to Israel and saying: “Keir Starmer and his ministers must not waste another second in calling out this act of genocide, end immediately the supply of all arms to Israel and impose strict sanctions on the country.”
Why won’t Labour listen to the millions who share this view?

More generally, Zack Polanski’s election as Green party leader has already made a substantial difference. Party membership has soared by around 20,000 in recent months and it is now larger than the Lib Dems.
Polanski has a strong media presence and is rarely wrong-footed. His response to the Manchester synagogue murders was excellent: compassionate and adamant that “an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. The only authentic response is solidarity.”
And his further reponse to calls for cancel pro-Palestine demonstrations was similarly on the ball: “Conflating protests against the genocide in Gaza and ultimately weaponising that against an antisemitic attack on our streets, a terroristic attack, is deeply irresponsible.’

Zack Polanski is a breath of fresh air on the Political Scene. I like his ability to stay calm but focused. I see the Greens as being a threat to all the other Parties. That’s if the BBC gives him a fair amount or airtime, as much as they are giving to Farage would be good.
I would say the leader of the Green Party is more in line with being a British PM than any of those other leaders of the other Parliamentary Parties including the current PM
To be Honest the time has come to clean up the present Political System that has been a 2 Party monopoly for too long now.
And needs to change
I would not want another Tory, Labour, Lib Dem Collusion cheer Leading Party who would join. Any Party that would have them as their Coalition Government Little Brother Party.
I certainly don’t want a Reform Government lead by the Witchfinder General of Immigration. Who does not even know that an Asylum Seeker only becomes an illegal after being assessed to see if they have a right to claim Asylum or not. Which means if he had his way, he would send everyone away. Just imagine the shock he would get when he found out that most Asylum Seekers have the right to be here. So he maybe better hiring a Rowing Boat and Row them over to
France Himself And hopefully stay there Himself.
I fear that Zak Polanski may be targeted in the same way as Jeremy Corbyn.
