The last weekend of June saw the second Jewish Anti-Zionist Congress, following on from the first in Vienna in 2025.  There were many brilliant speakers, busy workshops and opportunities to connect.  In his opening speech Ramzy Baroud gave a powerful and moving speech, which is the focus of this report.

He emphasised how Gaza has changed the world and resulted in “a profound rupture in the way much of the world now views Western institutions.”  The failure of the western powers to live up to their claims to care about human rights has been exposed.  Israel has continued to act with impunity and yet, Baroud argues the key story of Gaza is “the extraordinary resilience of the Palestinian people.”
