False allegations and double standards

This report continues a story we have already broached, about how Right-wing trolls and media target Michael Rosen over Newbon death.
Newbon’s supporters are outraged that Rosen complained to Northumbia University about Newbon reposting a vicious photoshopped cartoon associating Rosen with the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. (For details see earlier post.)
Yet the stock-in-trade of these complainants is precisely to hound academics who are alleged to have been involved in antisemitic “incidents” in order to get them dismissed.
An anonymous grouping even produced a kind of vigilante interactive “University Antisemitism Map” with such laughable “antisemitic” crimes such as “IHRA breach” or “dismissal of antisemitism” – the latter charge often being levelled against any academic who had dared express an honest opinion by signing a 2018 statement issued by the Media Reform Coalition condemning the distorted and skewed coverage of antisemitism within the Labour Party by large sections of the UK media.
