JVL Introduction
In this powerful video Independent Bromsgrove Councillor Samar Ammar explains why she will not be silenced from standing up for Palestinians and for Palestine. Sam is of Palestinian heritage. In the film Sam recounts how she was sidelined from standing to be a Labour candidate in July’s General Election. She calls on all of us to take action after seeing this film.
JVL joins Sam to ask you to:
· Join the protests in your area for Palestine
· Use this link now to take part in an URGENT E-ACTION from the Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
If you like the video, please consider joining JVL: https://jewishvoiceforliberation.org.uk/join-jvl/
You can join as a solidarity member if you are not Jewish. You do not have to be a member of the Labour Party.
Well done Sam, highlighting the truth about what happens around elections.
So sorry your family and friends have been treated so horrifically and that they continue to suffer. The UK should hang their head in shame for their part in this autrocity. How anyone can justify the slaughter and murder of men, women and children is beyond belief.
Samar’s story of the top down imposition of a parliamentary candidate by a party hierarchy is another example of our democratic choice being stolen.
Sam is a great woman. Full respect to her and what she has gone through. Starmer’s deselection of her is beyond disgusting.
He is a man without a single virtue (apart from his toolmaker father!)
I hope someone is compiling all the unjust expulsions such as this one so at the next GE we can all be reminded how corrupt Starmer and the Labour Party are, they won because the Tories are so dreadful and not because they are so morally better, indeed that accusation is up for debate because there is so little between the two main parties.
it is unfortunate since Belfore Declaration up to this date all British governments have been the same towards the Palestinians, the strange thing is that I found a great difference between real sympathy for the Palestinians by the people of Great Britain and their Govenment’s stand, if any one knows why this happened please explain it to me, thank you
