He locates the genocide within wider currents in the Middle East political crisis and discusses the nature of Gaza’s regional supporters in terms of their local politics and what efforts that enables and limits.
He extends the analysis of Netanyahu’s actions beyond the usual discussions of his personal interest in remaining out of prison to look at his role in the international far right.
Achcar points out how the televising of the brutality of the Genocide is unprecedented and how it animates the global support for the Palestinian struggle.
