Veteran Israeli journalist Gideon Levy reports on the George Floyd murder and compares it to the case of Eyad Hallaq:

“The Border Police, the most brutal of all units, knows no other way to overpower a fleeing autistic Palestinian except to execute him.”

As in the United States with the brutal murder of George Floyd, this Israeli “incident” is not the first such case…

  • There are two sadnesses here – one is – obviously – the feeling for the victims, whether in the US or Palestine..

    The other, however, is for Israeli citizens who have little choice until the Palestinian ‘lockdown’ is transformed/respolved – either to battle against the essence of a home state that shamefully disgraces the memory of the Holocaust, or to resolve their cognitive dissonance through racist acts of denial and mythical distortion.
