His opposition to human-rights abuses in Israel, dating from before his barmitzvah, has moved him constantly to more radical ways of thinking – and of intervening in the political struggle.
The decisive question for us now, he says, is this: “ Do you care more about there being a Jewish majority state or about people of this region having equal rights and democracy?”

Why does Max Berger say “I wish BDS would do better at articulating what they want to happen which includes Jews?” The objective is plain as day, it is clear and of course it includes Jews – that is the whole point of it. It’s just not ethno-nationalism.
