While the bombs fall on Iran and Israel, as the internet was again shut down for Gaza, the murder of Palestinians there continues. This is a harrowing account of the latest round of attacks on starving people. We have published many pieces about starvation, as a weapon of war, as something so far from Jewish values and from the most basic level of humanitarianism and compassion that it is hard to comprehend.
This must not be forgotten as the news is dominated by another front.

I think this time we are told the IDF weren’t just firing ‘warning shots’. They seem to be saying, yes, this time we fired directly at them, watchya gonna do about it? Correct me if I’ve misinterpreted. It’s like being lifted off your feet by a hooligan mob and carried along.
We keep hearing that Hamas or, here, “militants” killed about 1200 people. Have I missed the enquiry in which it was revealed that there was at least one Israeli tank and one helicopter gunship that fired into the kibbutz? Is the “Hannibal directive” just an anti-Zionist fiction put about by journalists with no better story?
Do we take Israeli spokespeople to be the sainted truth tellers of children’s stories? Are the malicious fictions of the Zaka group now established as fact?
