The Archbishop of Canterbury calls for Israel to end its occupation: at the next Church of England Synod a debate on whether to “change its investment policies in light of Israel’s actions in the Occupied Territories.” will take place. She was unequivocal about settler violence, forced displacement and more and noted that “Annexation is already taking place in all but name.”
There is nothing new in this report. We know it only too well.
But Gideon Levy is undeterred. While it is continues to happen he will continue to report it, inveigh against it. Maybe one day the world will listen?

Trenches are being dug and a wall is planned from the occupied Golan Heights to the Red Sea. This will effectively cut off the Jordan Valley, c, 30% of the West Bank from the rest of it. If there is still anyone hanging on the idea that a two State “solution” is possible, this surely ends that illusion.
The BBC seems to be discouraging constructive criticism which might improve its biased and unbalanced coverage on Israel and antisemitism with an increasingly Byzantine complaints process.

Next steps in Labour’s clampdown on immigration will be put to Parliament next week; “(t)he planned rules would apply retrospectively to claimants who are already in the UK – a move that prompted a backlash from as many as 100 Labour MPs including Angela Rayner, who said it was unfair and un-British.”
