US media’s facilitation of a genocide
JVL Introduction
On 13 Aug it was reported that Waverley Council in Sydney had, pending review, removed a book on the Gaza genocide from a library after a Bondi beach survivor complained about it.
The review is over and we’re pleased to report that the book has been restored to its rightful place on the shelves. This follows a petition signed by almost 2,500 and a letter from the State Library of New South Wales reminding Waverley Council of its independence in maintaining its collections.
The 21 people in the queue to read the book will now be able to do so!
We post below a review by Mike Phipps which appeared soon after the book was published in July.

“Johnson contends that the US media also played a central part in helping the Biden administration distance itself from the conflict, portraying it as unable to bring it to an end, when it clearly could – as even Israeli officials admitted.”
By strong contrast, back in 1982, President Reagan decided that the Israeli bombardment of Beirut must stop and he rang Prime Minister Begin and told him to halt it. It soon stopped.
