The “Chariots of Genocide” are not stopping!

The planned total take over of Gaza, “Operation Gideon’s Chariots has yet to begin, and the chariots of genocide are already warming their engines.”  So says veteran Israeli journalist Gideon Levy.  His fury is clear: in Israel’s claimed determination to “eliminate Hamas”, which comes alongside the commitment to completely take over Gaza , anything seems to be permissible, justifiable, necessary in the eyes of almost all Israeli politicians and, it seems, most Israelis.

There are those who speak out and have been arrested and/or ostracised but the numbers are few and mostly focused on the best way to release the Israeli hostages.  But Levy is asking, with increasing desperation, why the Palestinians matter so little – and not only to Israelis but to most of the Arab nations as well.

Meanwhile the current, like the previous, British government continues to sell arms to Israel and has done little other than utter words of condemnation.  MPs from all parties are demanding the government takes action and are met with the same platitudes that have been used for months.
