JVL Introduction
Basel Adra is well-known to us from his role as in – and as co-director of – the Oscar award-winning documentary film “No Other Land.
At this critical moment in the struggle he has, together with his colleague Shatha Yaish, joined +972 Magazine as a West Bank reporter.
He describes what it is like to be a reporter there and appeals for support for +972 Magazine.

You can sign up and read +972 Mag. for free. If you cannot afford more, please do – you will read stuff you won’t find elsewhere, produced by a cooperative of Palestinian and Jewish journalists/photographers. But if you can support +972 financially, follow their advice and make a regular donation via the British Shalom-Salaam Trust. It doesnt have to be much – if you do it via BSST, +972 gets nearly 100% of your donation (BSST doesnt charge, but the intermediary bank takes a small cut), plus BSST can claim gift aid and add that on to +972’s income. I know I bang on about this, but +972’s impact in the last 18 months has been truly crucial to the huge public shift to supporting Palestinian rights. And you can’t get better than Basel Adra’s on the spot reflections on what is happening is Massafer Yatta, and insights into the state of PALESTINIAN opinion on the ground in the West Bank. This is ‘solidarity’ in practice – please practise it!!!!!!
