In a calculated assault on Palestinian sensitivities, the Flags March will again take place in East Jerusalem.
Once again Israeli Jewish fanatics will lord it over the Palestinians of the Old City in a frenzied racist demonstration of their superiority.
Haaretz is appalled at this senseless folly.
This year Public Security Minister Omer Bar-Lev has decided to allow the March to go through Damascus Gate and to parade through the Muslim Quarter.
Haaretz ends a bitingly critical editorial with the slender hope that “Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will wake up and order Bar-Lev to overturn his reckless decision and stop this lunacy, for the sake of all Israelis.”
