Palestinians under constant surveillance

JVL Introduction

Issa Amro is a respected human rights defender from Hebron who started the Youth Against Settlements, committed to non violent resistance to the occupation. Nonetheless Israel has allocated him the highest risk and so each time he needs to cross one of the numerous checkpoints, his passage is likely to be difficult.  The extent of surveillance, using facial recognition and AI is extensive.  Added to this is that Israel literally controls the power and chooses to allow only 75% of what Palestinians need to be available to them. I try to imagine what it is like to be surveilled all the time, having been forced out of your home and surrounded by soldiers and settlements and stay committed to non violence in the face of the violence done to you and, of course, to so many other Palestinians.
