You support Palestine? Diversity and Inclusion does not stretch that far!

This moving and worrying piece outlines some of the clampdown on free speech in the USA; here the writer was going to run a zoom session to support a School District’s diversity, equity and inclusion program, focusing on supporting refugee students and their families. Publicity went out on 1st November and was cancelled six days later because of the “conflict in the Middle East”. They said this was because of “the overwhelming number of emails we have received expressing concerns about the timing.” When he saw some of these emails, it was clear that there were (inevitably) allegations of antisemitism.
The article references several other examples that lead to the logical conclusion that: “If you are Palestinian, Arab or Muslim in the US today, or someone who is an ally of those groups, your speech is uniquely patrolled and your very right to speak is unfairly limited, if not banned outright.”
The importance of free speech cannot be overstated, not least on Palestine, not only but especially while Gaza is being pulverised and settlers are trying to ethnically cleanse (at least) Area C of the West Bank.

I was invited to a school panel that wasn’t even about Israel and Palestine. Then, some parents accused me of ‘hate speech’

Sadly it’s become a one horse race & Fascism is disguised in many forms such as Zionism but criticism of it becomes “antisemitism “ !
How disrespectful of Zionists to abuse the actual horrors that Jews & Non Jews experienced & died for in their millions!
Arabs of any country are now the white mans enemy, white as in Zionism because they believe in the purity of blood!
Does that strike a bell ? Arian pure blood? This world has leaders who have infected their offspring with hatred a barbaric emotion.
Having a diverse population is colourful, interesting & essential to us all Hatred is a negative black hole that leads to aggression, violence & worse! It saddens me that World Leaders allow these horrors even now after all the wars in this century !
It’s all about making money by weapons manufacturing & annihilation!
