Israel’s youth even more right wing than their parents

Unlike eg the German, Austrian and Italian working class 1939-45, the Israeli youth and working class have not been systematically pulverized and atomised by physical force. Rather, they are willfully extreme right wing and thoroughly genocidal. This being the case it is an absurdity to think that anti-propaganda can convert them to anti-genocide and equality between Zionist jews and Palestinians. Unfortunately it only leaves thoroughly smashing them militarily and politically. Meanwhile what other option is there?

Was the 18-21 age cohort sampled and polled in all those Israeli polls on the topic of whether or not a State Commission of Inquiry should be held about 7 October? Or were they all too busy playing GTA? Unless my memory fails me, those polls consistently showed a comfortable majority (70% + or – 5%) in favour of the State Commission option.

none. Israel has lost its soul. There’s probably something in the Hebrew literature of old that describes the dynamic that is playing out now in Israel. A morality tale. About a ‘people’ who are so focussed on their goal – in this instance a ‘National Home’ – that they turn a blind eye, a deaf ear, to the ‘inconvenient truth’ (pace Al Gore) that their goal is impossible to achieve without 1 acting in bad faith, and 2. inflicting a heinous wrong on an innocent third party’.
