Israeli minister praises France’s far-right party president

Marine le Pen and her Rassemblement Nationale is Israel’s buddy. A two-state solution is ruled out, a Palestinian state an abomination.

So what is left? An ethnonationalist, fundamentalist Jewish state between the river and the sea where Palestinians count for nothing.

Israel is clearly dreaming of moving in that direction but here it is explicitly from Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli.

Has he been rebuked by the Prime Minister or the President of Israel? Not that we are aware of.

It is, says Rachel Fink “in keeping with Chikli’s serial embrace of Europe’s extremist right-wing parties and factions.”

And she adds, without a hint of irony, “Chikli’s ministerial portfolio includes combating antisemitism worldwide.”
