Insane weaponisation of allegations of antisemitism

We are reaching a point where any image of an octopus is a wild antisemitic slur, any drop of red ink an allusion to the blood libel, any reference to a dead child likewise.
The outrageous absurdity of some the ever-expanding litany of allegations of antisemitism sometimes has its funnier side as told in this Al Jazeera report of Baroness Jacqueline Foster getting all excited as she imagined another antisemite.
She accused a Muslim participant on University Challenge of wearing Palestinian colours and owning a “disgusting” antisemitic octopus. She didn’t, and wasn’t the owner, but why allow such minor discrepancies to interfere with a ludicrous allegation.
An undisclosed sum has been paid in compensation. We hope it was an eyewatering amount!
We are eagerly awaiting Keir Starmer’s expulsion from Labour for being seen in the same room as an octopus and failing to call it out (see image below).

George Galloway is suing Rachel Johnson and Sky news for calling him a ‘Jew hater’ She also called im an Anti Zionist which he probably thought right and agreed with. Meanwhile Jeremy Corbyn is set to sue Nigal Farage over some disgusting remarks he made. Oh how he should have done this years ago, instead of taking all the abuse from his opponents in both parties and the MSM.
So now it has been settled, what do the authorities say, the article does not explain why the HofL did not uphold the complaint

Vexatious claims of Anti Semitism are hate crimes and should be prosecuted
Hardline Israel apologist Ben Freeman has deleted a tweet smearing new Rochdale MP George Galloway, shortly after Galloway responded to the smear with a legal threat.
Freeman – whose Twitter feed is full of rants against peaceful anti-apartheid activism and smearing marches against Israel’s genocide in Gaza as ‘hate’ and ‘racist’ and who has defended Israel’s blockade of Gaza and described antizionism as ‘post-Holocaust Jew hatred ‘propagated by the USSR’ – smeared Galloway as a ‘virulent Jew-hater’ and the votes that gave him his landslide election victory as a ‘dark day for British democracy.
And Galloway responded promptly to tell him to ‘remove this immediately or face the legal consequences’:
I must confess I get my energy supply from Octopus, through its link with Co-operative energy All the letters they send me have a cartoon octopus on the envelopes, which is a bit worrying.
Fortunately their octopus is pink, and I understand that it is only the blue ones which are antisemitic.
Thank you JVL for posting this. I would never have heard about it otherwise. All these ridiculous slurs need to be publicised widely as examples of the insanity going on against the Palestinians.
It wasn’t until I saw the complaint about the octopus that I even realised it could be seen as an antisemitic trope and I consider myself quite well informed. I was aware of the ancient cartoons but had never seen it recently. The extremist pro – Israel lobby will seemingly go to any lengths. I’m so glad that she won her case.
I hope she is going to pay this herself rather than use taxpayers’ money.

I watched this particular University Challenge show on a friend’s telly. As a deliberately silly joke, I absurdly remarked that the the octopus toy mascot would next be slyly used to create a usual big stink about ‘antisemitim’.
I like the photograph of Starmer beside the Octopus (Energy) symbol. I am disappointed that Starmer was not instantly expelled from the Labour Party and held in a police cell – before the widely alleged octopus ‘antisemitism’ was subsequently acknowledged to be politically motivated silliness.
I hadn’t read this till today as I love reading all JVL news & reread them!
This is now turned into an abysmal event by a Baroness who frankly should be removed from the House of Lords immediately!
She has put that young lady in danger from the mentally insane whose hatred of foreigners & whatever religion they hold,leads to horrendous repercussions when given the incorrect information! Death threats!!! For being on University Challenge?
I wasn’t aware of the octopus whatever colour & frankly demonising an octopus is weird considering how extremely intelligent they are with 9 brains!

Considering how RED is prevalent in the House of Lords & so is blood what should we find hateful here?
Pitiful, arrogant & frightening it is exactly what happened to innocent Jewish people & their non Jewish friends etc!
A whisper here a complaint there & immediately someone jumps on the appalling hate bandwagon!
SHAME ON THESE overpaid & overindulged people with honours they DO NOT DESERVE!
