How top Labour officials plotted to bring down Jeremy Corbyn

This is even more serious than the Blairite personalities involved. The management structure of the Labour Party allowed officials to work against the wishes of the elected leader. If Labour can’t create an effective chain of command, what hope is there that an incoming Labour government will be able to effectively implement radical policies in the teeth of opposition from Britain’s class of senior managers? As our Universities amply demonstrate, there is no point in owning an asset if you don’t control it. Britain’s senior managers will oppose radical change. How does an incoming Labour Government overcome that when it seems incapable of setting its own house in order ?
Is radical change an impossible dream ?

Jonathan Cook refers to Chris Williamson being denounced as an antisemitism denier; the report’s lengthy justification of its dsciplinary action invites incredulity.
However, the ‘denialism’ section gives perhaps the most direct comment on the situation regarding Labour’s antisemitism: “as both Jeremy Corbyn and Jenny Formby have stated on a number of occasions, and this investigation extensively documents, the antisemitism problem is real. A small number of Labour members hold antisemitic views, including some which are very extreme in nature. Moreover, there is a wider lack of wider understanding about antisemitism, which means that many members cannot recognise as antisemitism what Jewish members highlight.” We may assume that “Jewish members” refers to Jewish Labour Movement, as one of their officers is quoted in an earlier paragraph. After listing cases where “denialism narratives have clear antisemitic and conspiratorial undertones” the writers add: “Moreover, minimisation of the issue or dismissal of the concerns expressed by Jewish members can seem to be part of the same package as denialism which has antisemitic undertones; all ‘denialism’ can appear antisemitic.”
Keir Starmer may find in the statement above a way to fulfil his pledges to the Board of Deputies and its prime agent Jewish Labour Movement. He may choose to address the concerns of these Jewish members by granting the right to define what is ‘denialism’ and what is antisemitism in the Labour Party.

Surely the most important issue is that there was a organised attempt by the General secretary and his office to undermine the elected leader of the Labour Party. This raises the question of party loyalty. If party funds were inappropiatly used to bolster prefered candidate’s of the general secretary office knowing these candidates were opposed to the leader, does that imply they were also part of the conspiracy to overthrow the elected leader. There is so much in this leaked report. They were obviously racist by the E-mail comments. Their singling out of Diane Abbott can only be described as vile. In fact they stood for everything Labour was against .

I have been in the Labour Party for some thirty years. I have never observed racism or anti-semitism within our Party. Our British Jewish CLP members have not observed it.

We think that exaggerated or false claims of anti-semitism in the Labour Party have been used to restrict criticism of the extremist and racist Israeli government and to unfairly attack Jeremy Corbyn and other Socialists over.

Jonathan Cook has written an excellent summary of what has been going on within our Labour Party. A number of bad events in recent times, which I have been aware of, are explained by the further revelations.

All I can say , that reading this made me want to cry. How Jeremy remained standing I do not know. How did he not have a breakdown after all the lies they were throwing at him? I’m disgusted and am on the edge of cancelling my membership.
