A carefully produced, legally informed, report from Physicians for Human Rights Israel has no hesitation in accusing Israel of genocide.

As well as presenting details of the health crisis in Gaza – destruction, illness, starvation – it argues that the assault is  a deliberate, cumulative dismantling of Gaza’s health system, and with it, of people’s ability to survive.

It is not a temporary aberration or crisis, but a deliberate strategy to eliminate the conditions needed for life.

This amounts to genocide.
