Double standards reign as Israel killed only 319 Palestinians last year

Gideon Levy finds it hard to contain his rage at the double standards which prevail and pervade discussion about Israel.
It was, as he points out, a quiet year. “Only” 319 Palestinians were killed, almost all of them for no reason, almost all unarmed.
Yet, when Israel’s Defence Minister Benny Gantz met Mahmoud Abbas recently he was denounced for meeting a “terrorist” – Gantz, the wartime general, in charge of Operation Protective Edge in Gaza, in 2014 during which 2,100 (mostly civilian) Palestinians were killed.
“[H]ow much more Palestinian blood needs to be spilled,” asks Levy, “ before people in Israel dare to bravely and honestly, for the first time in this country’s history, answer the question of who here is a terrorist and who is fighting for his rights…”

I think we all know who the real terrorists are. On the left, anyway! Could that be the reason why they demonise us (rhetorical question!)?

On a general question without deciding to read the article ~ What does Judaism of its religious sense say by way of the Rabbis in Israel and of Rabbis elsewhere located in the world about past and present Israeli government’s killing of Palestinians? Thank you
…and still in the UK the main opposition party, you know the one that purports to support minorities and freedom not only ignores the Palestinian ‘Final solution’ but throws out those who bring the subject up, currently in the main brave Jewish Labour members. Where is the political support in our supposedly liberal democracy?
Article puts forward the facts and the truth, but the truth is the first casualty in such awful conditions as prevail now. The Israeli Zionist state is in perpetual denial, both as to its inhuman beginning and to its inhuman existence. The whole Zionist dream we know was a nightmare for arabs, innocent as they were of the Nakba about to encompass them. Zionists forget that those same arts that did gain, A power must it maintain. And for Jews and Judaism the Zionist entity is a poisoned chalice that Alas they will have to drink from for next century.

Resistance is not terrorism.
Why is Abbas still in post? Exactly what has he achieved for the Palestinians? The man is past his sell by date and needs to go.
The world’s support for Israel is beyond my understanding.
Not to sound frivolous but I’ve always quoted this, when ‘Propaganda’ is used to persuade people to believe the Lie. ‘Cowboys and Indians’. Who were the villains”? For at least 2 decades of Cowboys and Indians films, the Indians were cast as the villains.
It’s Propaganda that Israel and its supporters use to persuade us that the Palestinians are the terrorists.
As Syed Tariq Rafique says “the Zionist entity is a poisoned chalice ” this is my concern too, why must the innocent suffer for what the others do. Israel must come to terms and turn over a new leaf, it is still possible.
The history of Israeli terrorism in Palestine immediately after 1945 has largely been expunged from the history books. Fortunately, my father was there to enlighten me. Terrible deeds were done. Innocent British squadies were executed by hanging on piano wires. A large hotel was blown up by the murderous Jewish gangs. My Dad served out in the Far East . he didnt come home until May 1946. He knew one of the soldiers who were brutally murdered. The world knows quite a lot about the treatment of the Palestinians after 1948 which continues today.
