Democracy and Justice on Trial
JVL Introduction
The court hearings against six Palestine Action members arrested while trying to damage an Elbit Systems factory is underway, at the same time as the Judicial Review into the proscription of that organisation. Here Jonathan Cook, using some of the observations of Craig Mrray, attests that much of the procedure is a travesty of justice. Key is that there is a video circulating that is not the whole video but will carry influence. There is partial and sometimes unclear evidence.
Meanwhile others imprisoned on the same charges, still untried and posing no danger to the public, are on hunger strike in protest at the length of their incarceration. At least six of them have now been hospitalised and finally MPs are raising concerns but the so called Justice Secretary (David Lammy) is not responding.
The dreadful nature of this – and other – trials has important repurcussions for us all whether or not we support Palestine Action.

Bravo, Jonathan and Craig. These words need wider coverage. Which media outlets will have the courage to broadcast them to the general public, so that rightful outrage is directed where it belongs?
