This article from the Disability News Service, written prior to Rachel Reeves’ latest assault on society’s most vulnerable, provides an alarming accompaniment to George Monbiot’s Double Down News video that you can see below, which highlights the connection between the actions of Trump and those of Starmer and his government not only on disability and benefits but on environmental and economic issues as well as authoritarianism.
Both point to echoes of the 1930s in Germany, reverberating ever more loudly in Starmer’s Britain.

Agree with everything you say George. But when there WAS a real alternative, in the runup to the 2019 general election, your turned against it and joined in with the fake antisemitism scam. So I find it hard now to hear you make these points.
There were a number of accounts of Nazis exterminating patients of Polish hospitals on the basis they were not economically viable/productive – this link below being one example below. It is quite astonishing that this current welfare cutting debate has gone on for so long, on the basis of the same evil premise. We use economic activity to maintain our society, we should not be destroying our society and some of its members merely to make a market model appear to work. So Reeves & co must be aware that they’ll kill people with these measures.
