Anti-semitism bandwagon rolled out again

JVL Introduction

Jonathan Cook pulls no punches in his analysis of the antisemitism bandwagon and the role of people like Stephen Pollard, editor of the Jewish Chronicle, and Jonathan Freedland, to whom the Guardian seems to have given free reign to spearhead its anti-Corbyn agenda.

He pinpoints the dynamic involved acutely: “Claims of anti-semitism have worked ideally in damaging Corbyn because no real evidence has been needed. In fact, such claims succeed even when opposed to the known evidence (as we shall see). They work chiefly by innuendo and emotion. And better still, they work even when those accused like Corbyn and his allies deny the accusation. As in all good witch-hunts, denial is proof of guilt…”

  • To be quite honest, John Bercow did not give much away at all. The only person he criticised was David Cameron. Interesting character though.

  • As always, Jonathan can be relied upon for truthful, objective and insightful journalism. He has eschewed a lucrative career working for corporate media and has ‘walked the walk’ with the oppressed. My heartfelt thanks for all your efforts to set the records straight, Jonathan. We need journalists like you more than ever. Please keep going.

  • I have never bought a copy of the Jewish Chronicle and stopped buying The Guardian some years ago.
To those who continue to buy these awful rags, I say “Stop It”!
It is high time that we all applied the principle of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) to filthy muck-raking rags like the JC and Guardian.

  • An excellent, forensic article which exposes this anti-Corbyn and anti-Labour campaign in an admirably lucid manner. One thought strikes me – if this is what Corbyn is exposed to now, what pitch of hysteria will this campaign reach if and when he is elected?
