Jewish members say Starmer’s pursuit of them ‘makes a mockery’ of claim to be making Labour safe for Jews

‘Increasing discrimination and harassment’ of left-wing Jews and ‘abuse of our Jewish identity’ condemned

  • Well it’s not really relevant whether members are Jewish or not as this isn’t about antisemitism but socialism. Let’s not fall into the trap of making it about antisemitism by overly playing up the plight of Jewish members except to point out that it rather proves that it isn’t about antisemitism!

  • The Labour Party has become an unsafe place for socialist Jews. This is the inevitable outcome of aligning the party with the interests of the Israeli lobby. The “antisemitism crisis” is all about the state of Israel. The vast majority of suspended members are critics of Israel and many of them are Jewish. This truth has been hidden by the right wing, the Israeli lobby and the MSM for obvious reasons. It’s time to break the silence on this matter!

  • Come on Starmer, realise that you’ve got it wrong. Get honest before it’s too late for you. Stop pandering to the Israeli bullying. If you carry on down this road you’ll lose all credibility. Bring us all together in honesty. Face it.

  • About time something was written on this. How can non Zionist Jews be comfortable in Starmer’s Party, if it follows his special brand of anti-semitism, assuming all Jews are the same(a classic antisemitic trope) and that only he knows what they think and feel, despite what they tell him to the opposite. He accuses Jews, who criticise Israel’s numerous illegalities, of antisemitism ,who are Israel’s real patriots, protecting their country’s honour. How hurtful is that?-especially for Holocaust survivors, who are so deeply ashamed of Israel’s oppressive treatment of Palestinians. Starmer’ sophistry in knowingly using two opposing definitions of A-S alternatively, first to give dog a bad name then to hang him, is a disgrace to his profession but sadly so typical of his duplicity. He promised to heal and unite the L.P. He promised to implement EHRC rules, but directly contradicts them. EHRC found against the JLM’s claim of L.P. being “constitutionally A-S” ( i.e. the JLM exaggerated ) and declared freespeech as a right. Both of which Starmer ignored in his unlawful suspension of Corbyn and repeated’ political interferences’ against Corbyn and NEC decisions ; and denying of free speech within the L..P.: discrimination against non zionist Jews; suspension without due process etc etc.

  • The Labour Right have, also, taken full advantage of this COVID-19 Pandemic.

They, quickly, realised the difficulties of face-to-face confrontations, was a situation they could exploit.

‘Virtual’ CLP Meetings have played right into their hands – much easier to ‘mute’ online, than in a room full of angry and animated dissenters.

  • Are there grounds for a legal challenge on the basis of discrimation against LP Jewish members who have been disproportionately selected for disciplinary measures? The LP would have to defend its action by arguing that selection for disciplinary measures is on the basis of some other factor which would have to specified. Then the argument would start – in public.

  • It’s not disproportionate if the group are all deliberately singing from the same hymn sheet from within their echo chamber.
