If honesty prevailed…..

Are politicians are powerless as they seem to think or as they convey to this author?  Is personal position and advantage the key drivers and is there no room for moral actions even if they are against your own or your organisation’s interest?  These are some of the questions I am left with reading Muhammed Shehad’s reflections on the 3rd anniversary of the genocide.

Journalists rarely resist the intense pressure they are under to ignore what is staring them in the face. Meanwhile Israel has no incentive to leave Gaza, PA officials effectively accept the status quo, western governments tut tut and do little if anything to stand for justice, instead they donate aid to Gaza in the morning and give Israel weapons in the afternoons.

A chilling read, indeed.
