The levels of settler violence have escalated exponentially since October 7th 2023 and many Palestinian communities have been forced to leave their homes, their hamlets and their lives. Western complicity has helped prop up the settlement enterprise and while, finally the UK government is considering sanctions on settlements goods and services, the failure to have done that has meant settlement expansion with impunity that has further fuelled the most violent and the most fundamentalist to act.  They are backed by, indeed egged on by senior Ministers in this Israeli government.
