As a result of defamatory articles, both the Daily Mail Online and Metro Online have had to apologise and pay damages to actor and TV presenter Nadia Sawalha and her husband Mark Adderly recently elected to as a councillor for the Green Party.
The allegations of antisemitism and of support for terrorism were found to be false when what Ms Sawalha and Mr Adderly did was call out Israel’s war crimes and express their opposition to zionism.
The apologies can be found below along with a statement from the solicitors and from the plaintiffs. We publish as a reminder that sometimes we win.
