Marches for Palestine do not threaten Jews
JVL Introduction
We have written an open letter before the next national march for Palestine on 15th February. We have written as Jews to remind our political leaders and the Head of the police not only that Jews are no more homogenous than any other group but that conflating Jews with support for Israel is wrong and also dangerous for Jewish people.
The Morning Star (below) and Skwawkbox have published our letter in full. That we had no response from legacy media is disappointing but, sadly, not surprising. We appreciate Skwawkbox’s coverage, referring to us as Jewish activists (who) demand Cooper, Khan and Met Police restore full freedom to protest for Palestine and notes that JVL is “one of many Jewish groups who steadfastly oppose Israel’s genocide and its decades-long occupation and oppression of Palestinians”.
JVL members will, of course, be part of the Jewish Bloc at this as at all the demonstrations.

Your point about far-right racist groups supporting Israel is well observed. Tommy Robinson — imprisoned racist rabble -rouser has been on a conducted tour of the Golan Heights posing on an IDF tank. He also owns 3 apartments in Israel and a plot of land in Jerusalem.
The beautifully balanced article by Jenny Manson and Leah Lavane is a model for the mass media. However, our mass media will not follow it because of its adherence to the political establishment and its liking for false sensationalism.
It is a damning inditement of proprietors of our UK ‘popular’ media and a majority of journalists with some honourable exceptions, that this quality of article fails so often to make it onto the printed page or be broadcast to a mass audience. Well done to Jenny Manson and Leah Lavane. Truth will out but painfully slowly. Surely?
